How it Works

Repair

Automobile repairs are provided for single parents and widows living in Jefferson County (Denver program currently on hold pending funding) on a pay-what-you-can basis.  Consider paying-forward 10% of the cost of your repair - without going into debt or borrowing money.  Here are some other simple requirements:

  • a meeting in our offices
  • repairs are provided for automobiles that are 15 years old or newer
  • copies of 
    • Your valid drivers license
    • The car registration (registred in your name)
    • Current insurance

Sorry, but help is not available for these repairs:

  • rebuilding or replacing transmissions
  • rebuilding or replacing engines
  • air conditioners

Maintenance

 

Car Care Clincis are every other month through the year beginning in January.  The clinics are at Hands Automotive in Lakewood (1510 Kendall Street).  To register, register online on the "car care clinics" page on this website on or after the date indicated.  Just bring your own oil filter and we will do the rest - an oil change, add fluid conditioners and provide a 52-point safety inspection.
