This past Saturday Hands of The Carpenter hosted a “Day of Beauty.” Single parents and widows from Hands, Red Rocks Church and Lookout Mt. Community Church were treated to a day of manicures, haircuts, massages and facials. Delicious refreshments were served, along with a spa-like atmosphere of soft music, candle lit rooms and aroma-therapy. Women received paraffin treatments and hand massage as they waited for their services. Those who so generously gave of their time and skills greeted their clients with gracious smiles and a kind touch. Volunteers also came to visit and pray with the women and help care for their children. The women served were deeply moved and most grateful for the care that was shown to them in thought, word and deed. It truly was a beautiful experience for everyone.
